I drew this straight from my grandson’s drawing. I was worried about the teeth being too menacing but I find them delightful.

Janis wanted to soften the look of the lion for her new grandson. She added his whole world complete with flower studded grass, a wide meadow, blue skies, and trees above. What lion could want more?

The mane has been prodded using several different wools. Just experiment until you get the color combination you like. Proddy is fast and also easy to take out. Instead of fussing over the decision, just jump in and do it.

She asked me to look it over and to make suggestions as needed. I suggested bending the one blade of grass that ran straight up the lion’s leg. It now adds a bit of dimension and puts the lion in the scene instead of on it.
