Sky Premium Dyed Wool

Sky Rug Hooking Wool

Sky wool for rug hooking

This 1/8 yard of hand dyed dipped wool.  I triple dip this wool and cook it extra long to preserve this precious blue color for as long as possible.  Cut this wool horizontally and hook it into zones as described in ‘Pine Trees, Grass and Sky.”

The sky above has faded. As a result, I now dye the wool darker using the same formula. During the dyeing process, I cook blues extra long to help prevent fading, but unfortunately, blue is still the first color to fade.

  1. I need wool for a sky. I would like a pale blue . Could I see a sample on line before ordering? I will need about a 1/2 yard. Thanks, Barbara

      1. The sky used in the two rugs above are the same sky. The differences is due to lighting conditions and camera. I only stock what I call “happy sky.” It reminds me of what the sky looks like on one of those glorious days. You can order it directly on the link above, or from my supplies page.
